Mattia Losa, MD
VISITING RESEARCH FELLOW
Mattia is a medical doctor and a trainee neurologist in Genoa, Italy. He has a background in cognitive neurology and neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia. He then focused his research on cerebral small vessel disease (cSVD), working in an outpatient clinic dedicated to patients affected by cSVD. In the last year he has been exploring the potential role of MRI and cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers in characterizing cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) phenotypes. He is currently a visiting research fellow at the JPK Stroke Research Center, investigating the relationship between cortical superficial siderosis and microinfarcts in CAA.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and doing sports. He also loves animals, especially his cat Ginger.
